Date: May 23, 2026 Modality: In-Person at Dearcroft Montessori Trafalgar Crossing Campus Time: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm Investment: $150 CAD Hours: 4 hours Audience: Ideal for Montessori educators, ECE professionals, assistants, school leaders, and anyone working with multilingual children. Translanguaging invites children to bring their whole linguistic selves into the classroom. In this workshop, participants will learn how to nurture multilingualism with warmth and intentionality, weaving children’s home languages into everyday Montessori practice in natural, respectful ways. By attending this workshop, you will: - Learn what translanguaging is—and what it is not—through a Montessori lens. - Discover simple strategies to honour children’s linguistic identities across the environment. - Explore ways to build belonging and confidence for multilingual learners and their families. - Gain practical tools that support language development without overwhelming staff or children. Please note: Minimum 5 participants required.
