Date: November 8, 2025 Modality: In-Person at Dearcroft Montessori Trafalgar Crossing Campus (297 Oak Walk Dr, Oakville, ON L6H 3R6) Time: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Inversion: $150 CAD Hours: 4 hours Audience: Designed for Montessori educators (trained or untrained), school leaders, and parents eager to understand how Montessori nurtures a deep and lasting love of mathematics. Montessori math transforms how children experience numbers and operations by grounding them in concrete, hands-on experiences before moving toward abstraction. This 4-hour session will explore the sequence and philosophy of Montessori math, illustrating how the materials guide children from quantity recognition to complex operations with confidence and joy. In this workshop, you will: - Understand the progression of Montessori math materials and their connection to child development. - Learn how sensorial and practical life work prepare children for mathematical thinking. - Explore ways to introduce and support math concepts using hands-on materials that make abstract ideas accessible and meaningful. - Gain strategies for fostering problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward math. Please note: A minimum of 5 participants is required for this course to run. In the event the course does not meet the minimum enrolment, all registered participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
