Date: October 29, 2025 Modality: In-Person at Dearcroft Montessori Trafalgar Crossing Campus (297 Oak Walk Dr, Oakville, ON L6H 3R6) Time: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Inversion: $150 CAD Hours: 4 hours Audience: This session is ideal for Montessori educators (regardless of training level), school leaders seeking a deeper understanding of language development, and curious parents eager to learn how Montessori supports communication skills at home and in school. Language is at the core of human connection, and Montessori education approaches its development with intentionality and care. In this 4-hour workshop, we’ll explore how the Montessori language curriculum nurtures communication, literacy, and a love for words. Participants will trace the progression from spoken language to writing and reading, examining the role of materials and the prepared environment. By attending this workshop, you will: - Understand how oral language development lays the foundation for literacy. - Explore the sequence of Montessori language materials and how they meet the needs of different developmental stages. - Learn strategies to enrich vocabulary, support emergent readers and writers, and integrate language across the curriculum. - Reflect on how language fosters identity, self-expression, and community. Please note: A minimum of 5 participants is required for this course to run. In the event the course does not meet the minimum enrolment, all registered participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
